Using TanglePatterns string 034 and variations on patterns Balo, Bublz, and Swarm. I was really happy with how this one turned out.

Using TanglePatterns string 032 and patterns Hi-Cs, Merryweather and Wisket. I think it would have been more effective without the Wisket, but that’s okay.

Using TanglePatterns string 031, and patterns bublz and finery. I have found lately that fewer patterns make for more effective Zentangles. Some artists seem to make very fine and complicated pieces work, but simpler is better for me at the moment.

Using TanglePatterns string 25 and patterns Jajazz, Zinger, Flos, Deco border, Rain, Pendrills and Xtracto.

I restarted this one twice! I kept messing up the Chebucto pattern near the beginning and wanted to get it right. In the end I didn’t do a very good job of that bit anyway, but I liked Leiter: easy to make, quite effective. It’s not amazing, but it’s a somewhat successful attempt at patterns […]

This might be one of my favourites so far. It’s remarkable how effective it is to not use all the space… Less is more? Using string 020 from tanglepatterns.com and patterns Cadent with a twist, Xtracto, Zinger, Mooka & Yew-Dee.
